BMS is an Electric Vehicle Battery Management System, which is an important link between on-board power battery and electric vehicle. BMS collects, processes and stores important information in the battery pack operation process in real time, and exchanges information with external equipment such as vehicle controller to solve key problems in the lithium battery system such as safety, availability, ease of use and service life. The main function is to improve the utilization rate of the battery, prevent the battery from over-charging and over-discharging, extend the service life of the battery, and monitor the state of the battery. What is a BMS system?
1.Limited use range of lithium-ion battery.
For lithium-ion batteries, the ideal range of work is very limited, not broad. Therefore, Li-ion batteries must be managed in the application process, especially in the application scenario of power batteries.

It is almost impossible for all cells in a battery pack to be exactly the same, which means that there are inconsistent operating conditions (internal resistance/heat /SOC interval) and different aging rates between cells, so balanced management is required.
